*grumble* *grumble*

First GCSE Exam tomorrow and what am I doing? Posting on my blog of course> I have compiled three outfits that sum up my mood through the lack of colour, my way of showing my depression...

This outfit is all about textures: The acid wash, wool and pleather compliment each other.
Acne jumpers are just about the comfiest things ever. I've added a shirt-dress for a floaty but tough look.
These. Shoes. They are so great and the cut of the trousers would really show them off.
I should go learn what french is now... But I wont...

How to wear: Headpiece

I recently bought a very sparkly headpiece in a moment of weakness and with no real idea of how to wear it. After trying out a combination of looks I settled with this look:

It's very glamorous to match the classic headpiece style and I balanced out the jewels by wearing a decorated top. The 'one teaspoon' shorts keep the look more casual, while if you were going to an event you might opt for a skirt or long trousers. These amazing chunky, gothic heels are available on ebay, unfortunately not my size.

Glory Days

This beanie completes me, I love it and styled this outfit around it. I went with a childhood-theme introducing a baggy t-shirt with a two-headed bambi on it and the aggy creeper Dr Martens, the velvet introduces softer textures. These shorts are perfect for summer but with knee highs they will work all year round.

OOTD: Suede Mini

Today was relatively sunny so I went for skirt-no-tights, a choice I later regretted. However this outfit is easy and neutral with colours I'd usually reserve for colder months yet it worked really well today and I felt the colouring of the bag held the whole look together. The textures are soft and gentle, I love the combination of soft wool and suede.

Is that another how to wear? I think so! Shift dresses:

A shift dress is my new summer essential. They are easy, breezy and perfect for almost any occasion. Here is a casual day look with the cutest shades I have possibly ever seen and dark Dr Martens to balance out the bag. Accessories are minimal as this is more of a clean-cut look but if you want to add more, go for rings and avoid necklaces as it could make the whole outfit more heavy.

Everything i post seems to have the colour mint in it, I think it's such a feminine and classic colour which suits just about everyone so with basic pieces like this that you will be using as a foundation for multiple different outfits, it is a good colour to go with.

An outfit for someone I love (My sister duh)

So some randomer decided to request an 'outfit for someone I love' via an anon tumblr message. I am new to the whole blogging world but thought I'd give it a go so this one's for you Izzy (my big sister - total babe)

You should know that me and Izzy's styles are completely different so it was actually really hard to come up with something I think she actually might consider wearing. It's very basic but I didn't want to be so wrong that it annoyed her (I think my idea of how much she actually cares is highly inaccurate)
Izzy is a skinny jeans kind of person, that much I know. She is very pretty with red hair which I think would compliment this jumper and beanie, though she has tons of beanies I've never seen her wear. These boots aren't exactly her style but I refuse to put uggs on this blog and I couldn't find her nice Dr Martens.

Love you Izzy you are the best sister ever.

How to wear: Dungarees (basic)

Dungarees are coming out, everyone's grabbing a pair as summer approaches. This is how I style my dungarees in a basic layout. Again there is no jewelry you can add some if you want but personally, dungaree days are no-effort days and i go with minimal accessories.

This must be the most thrilling post you have ever read... lucky you. So as I have no figure I have to work really hard on making sure people don't mistake me for a man. I wear my dungarees with crop tops in general to show that I am in fact, female. To avoid a boring and plain look, patterned tights keep things on a more interesting level, yet make choosing shoes difficult. I always go for a block-colour shoe. I'm sure that was incredibly helpful.

Sorry, I'm procrastinating.

Even more summer looks

All I ever post about is the ever-approaching summer, it is on the verge of obsession. However with up and coming exams it is the light at the end of the tunnel for me and has kept me going through the strenuous revision sessions. Look #1 is:

Ripped tops are hot, lets face it. If you can work it, go for it. These shorts have great shape and the shoes will elongate legs making them even more flattering. My favourite element of this outfit is the grunge necklace, if you are adding more jewelry make sure you stick to silver tones to keep everything working well together. The second look I've put together is questionable it was more of an experiment so even though I would wear it you might think its ridiculous:

It's a  grungy white look for these days where its not quite shorts weather but not quite jacket & hat weather. It's feminine and soft yet you might want to bring in some darker items if all white washes you out. Cheap Monday is amazing quality, I would recommend their jeans if you need new ones. Dr Marten sandals never fail to amaze me as they are always so perfect and add an element of general coolness to any outfit (then again my standards of 'cool' are hardly up to scratch). Hope this inspired you instead of making you flee from your computer screen.

OOTD: Schoolday Blues

First day back from bank holiday weekend... yikes. I've gone for my trusted boyfriend jeans (irony that these are my most frequently worn jeans and I am a single pringle) and a flannel shirt for ultimate comfort. Unfortunately the girls in my school like to make an effort so I generally look like a troll in comparison, but I savor those 20 extra minutes of sleep while my friends stand in front of the mirror choosing what to wear. Sure, if I wake up at a reasonable time I will make myself presentable, mostly for the welfare of other students, but it's the first day back after a long weekend of revising and to be perfectly honest I'm not in the mood.

Seeing as the sun made an appearance, I actually needed sunglasses and I didn't need a coat, but other than that the outfit isn't exactly exciting, however I will be posting some great outfit ideas this evening and an 'Outfit for someone I love" thang that was requested by an anon tumblr randomer.

OOTD: Acne knows best

Today I met some friend's in town and it was so sunny I had to introduce the pastel shades. Unfortunately it was still jeans weather and I had to take my jumper just to be safe (england weather is as always unpredictable) but at least I got to crack out these Acne shoes. After all, Acne knows best. These shoes have glitter soles which is something I adore. The buckles and thick heel make them a statement piece while the mellow colours allow a casual day look when paired with jeans. I cuffed up the ankles of mine today to show off the shoes and accept the fact summer is finally here.

Shoe of the week

I've decided to start posting my favourite shoe of the week. Pathetic and pointless as it is, it will give me some sense of satisfaction that I've shared these oh so important thoughts and opinions with you. This week's shoe is absolute perfection, yet comes with a price tag to match, costing a total of 440 pounds... yikes.

I know, they are the holy grail of all sandals and who can resist a cheeky bit of Cinzia Araria who's SS'12 collection featured some pretty fantastic wedges. These shoes are all about texture, they will work well night and day and look comfortable enough.

So if you find yourself with 440 pounds to spend, please buy these for my sake (and preferably in a size 7 so I can borrow!)

What's In My Bag?

Well I know it's not a video but I thought I'd crack out a cheeky what's in my bag post because I know how much you all care...

So the bag I'm using is my Cambridge Satchel Company satchel in red. It's 14 inches because otherwise it wont fit my schoolbooks if that's what I use it for. Obviously my phone is in there because I have a mini panic attack when its not with me (#firstworldproblems), then there's two lipsticks, one daytime and the other more of a night look. I always have this in case I end up being out for longer than I thought or go somewhere I hadn't planned. Then there's my purse which is as always, empty apart from old receipts and my oyster card. Mango & Papaya lip butter is there because my lips get ridiculously chapped. Sunglasses because recently it's actually been quite sunny (shockingly) and Vogue because even though my subscription ended and I had to pay for it, Beyonce was on the cover and I went to see her the other day so I couldn't resist.

Art stuff is always in my bag because that's Art GCSE for you and Extra gum is actually a rare object to be found in my posession because I prefer to be that annoying person who uses up everyone elses gum supplies...

I'm sure that information was very interesting and important so on that note, until later.

OOTD: Acid Wash

I made this set a month ago but never published it, however I was looking over it and acid wash is just such a casual, flexible style you can wear in such a variety of ways that I thought it was about time I shared last months ootd with you...

Incase you were wondering, those sunglasses are Linda Farrow for Jeremy Scott, therefore very expensive at 160 pounds. Over budget for me, but if you are saving up for a great pair of sunnies these are definately the way to go. I have a total etsy obsession and this Acid T-shirt only cost 17 pounds while I opted for metallic nails. I would recommend Topshop nail polish, it is good quality and reasonably priced.

I will probably post another OOTD later on to show you what I wear to go out tonight!

Topshop Summer Wishlist

So my GCSE exams are ever approaching (15 days to  be exact) so here I am, procrastinating by shopping on Topshop. To be honest, I've been avoiding Topshop for a while now. This is because their stock hasn't exactly been up to scratch. However I was having a cheeky browse yesterday and I was actually impressed by the stuff found, especially shoes.

I am in desperate need of sandals like this. T-bar shoes are one of my latest obsessions.

So after  obsessing over hundreds of shoes, some slightly more questionable than others, I moved onto apparel seeing as all of mine is either too small, too short or just generally a what-was-I-thinking fiasco.

As you can see they've been upping the dress standards. I love the colours and shapes. The cut out mini is such a figure flattering style as it brings in the waist and creates the illusion of a thinner frame. As I often lack body confidence (I go through phases) the right dress hides any bumps and insecurities while giving an elegant, ladylike look perfect for evenings out with the family or afternoon trips, etc. I also feel as though the ever-blooming maxi trend has started to be overtaken by midi dresses/skirts. It seems like the perfect summer throw-on length:
Yes, dip dye is still here, making it through the cold winter months where it mostly featured on hair, ready to hit the beach.

A whole new range of essential basic tops has caught my eye in some gorgeous colours, along with some great pairs of shorts that will be great for the beach or general day-wear:

The middle will be amazing in the evening with a skater skirt, shorts or a great maxi skirt.
So i know the center pair wont be everyone's cup of tea but I think that styled right, they would actually look good, they come with a matching anorak if you want to check it out.

Finally comes my all time favourite item of all time, which is sold out except in size 12 (tears were shed) I was tempted to gain tons of weight just do I could fit into them:

I know. Ultimate Jean Perfection. Anyway soon enough you will see my DIY Boyfriend silk patch jean, as I will be making my very own pair. Hope you enjoyed looking though my summer wishlist, there is plenty more to come if you are for some reason interested.
